The New Zealand String Quartet has an international reputation for its dynamic style, eloquent communication and insightful interpretations. The current members have played together for 18 years and now present over 80 concerts each year. They will perform an arrangement of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, illuminating with string colour the sweep of his compositional genius - from light song to learned counterpoint; from staid polyphony to dazzling instrumental virtuosity.
